A Day Hike to Pavagadh ! !

Day of March 3rd 2008, I had a plane to have a small hike near to my home town (Baroda), and which was due for long time. I have decided to go place call Pavagadh, which is 50 Km away form Baroda and there is a temple of Mahakali on top of hill.

There are two different three different approaches, by road which goes to half of the hill then there is cable car which takes to top, but same time you are can hike from down to top, earlier days it was beautiful trail and it was real hike, now half palace it is real jungle trek and ends with stone steps.

As I decided to go, I started by motor bike in morning and had breakfast on the way; I reached there around 9:30 am, parked by bike at pay and park near bus stand. And I started for hike, and I was feeling good.

Pavagadh is very old historical place and on the way to top you find lots of arcs and old monuments, but regret to say that, all of the are spoiled by our current great writing experts and painters, here are few great pictures.

Trip was good, there was a bad seen with me, when i was at top and was visiting temple, one of my friend like my shoe very much and he/she gratefully picked my shoe without my permission (Stolen my shoe), it was tough time for me to come down from top. there few shops on top who are selling puja (flowers, coconut and few more things). I tried a lot to get a pair of sandal, but i was not fortune enough to get, after a hug struggle, was luck enough to get one but it was in wrong size, and came down half way in cable car and at down hill by shared jeep, where they just put me like unused luggage, was tired and came home.
